Grown in our front vineyard below the Tasting Room - this varietal originates from the Jurançon region in Southwest France and is the top recommended white grape to grow in Virginia.  This varietal was harvested late September of 2005, then fermented and aged 8 months in French acacia barrels and bottled in the Fall of 2007.  As she aged in the bottle, the wine tends to lose her fruitiness and develops subtle notes of honey, butterscotch, and dried fig.

Fun Fact: A favorite for a late harvest sweeter wine, we’re one of the only VA wineries to make this a dry wine

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Originally from Jurançon region in Southwest France, another favorite of Virginia Tech's Viticulture Department to grow in Virginia. Since this wine is aged like a red wine, it continues to soften as it ages in the bottle.
Food Pairing Notes
Its intense acidity allows this wine to pair with prime rib, yet delicate enough for pasta and seafood.
