The Tannat varietal is originally from the Madiran region in Southwest France and grown in front of the Tasting Room right where the sun sets over the Shenandoah Mountains.  This vintage was harvested in October 2012 & bottled in April 2014.  2012 was a optimal year for the Tannat varietal with high sugar and great skin maturity, producing bold cherry flavors, color, & high tannins.

Fun Fact: This vintage is part of our famous Linear Tasting event that we hope to resume in 2021.
