These varietals are grown in our north field above the Tasting Room and are the three main grapes that make up a Bordeaux blend. This ‘field blend’ is harvested mid-October and the grapes are fermented together from the start, then age for 18 months in French oak barrels. The results are a medium style red, not too dry, and suitable to all wine drinkers.
Fun Fact: If one of the varietals in a blend is 75% or more, the wine can actually be named after that varietal!

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc are the three grapes that make up this classic Bordeaux blend. The grapes are harvested and fermented together so this wine is blended immediately from the start!
